The Old West - Steam Engine Project

Hi there!
Here's my Westworld inspired Old Western steam engine train study, originally a concept that I thought up during an assignment which I enjoyed so much that I decided to carry it to the next level; practicing with Houdini heightfield environment creation.
And practicing layout, lighting, path animation, smoke simulation and applying my modeling and texturing skills in Blender and Substance Painter.
I then also tried my best to create a convincing picture via compositing in Nuke.

This was a rocky but insightful road to walk and I'm quite happy with the final results after some much needed tweaking.
